CEO & Founder
Juan Guillermo Walker has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and 18 years developing renewable energy projects. Since 2006, he has managed a portfolio of 3.5 GW of wind and solar projects in Chile. In 2006, he founded Andes Energy, a company that was acquired by Mainstream Renewable Power, where he served as Development Manager and New Business Manager for Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia. Today, he leads Free Power Group, founded in 2018, which focuses on developing large-scale wind and solar projects, as well as self-consumption and water solutions for industrial and commercial clients in Chile and Latin America.

Solar Portfolio Project Manager
Mechanical Civil Engineer with a Diploma in Energy Projects and eight years of experience in the development, management, and control of engineering projects.
Currently serving as Project Manager for a solar project portfolio consisting of over five projects, totaling more than 650 MW of installed capacity.
Paola Massardo
Solar Portfolio Project Manager
Structural Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience in engineering and industrial construction projects.
In 2020, she joined FreePower as a Project Manager for the wind portfolio and Civil Lead. Her primary responsibilities include managing the wind portfolio, which encompasses 930 MW under resource management, making strategic decisions, and resolving challenges during the coordination and development of early-stage projects.
Felipe Suazo
GH2 Porfolio Project Manager
Environmental Engineer with seven years of experience in the development of large-scale non-conventional renewable energy projects and high-voltage transmission lines. Expertise includes Environmental Impact Assessment Systems (SEIA), sectoral environmental permits (PAS), community engagement, and related areas.
Currently serving as Project Manager for FreePower’s green hydrogen portfolio, overseeing the Frontera, Cabeza del Mar, and Punta Patache projects.
Fabián Mesías
Enviromental Manager
Environmental Engineer with a Diploma in Applied Geomatics and seven years of experience in the energy sector. He has led over 10 environmental assessment processes for renewable energy projects, totaling more than 1,000 MW of installed capacity.
As Environmental Manager, he leads the environmental department, taking on the challenge of managing and overseeing renewable energy projects through all environmental phases, including prefeasibility, SEIA processing, and sectoral permitting.
Consuelo Montero
Technical Manager
Electrical Engineer with nine years of experience.
As Technical Manager, she leads the electrical department, conducting studies on the electrical connection feasibility of projects. She analyzes the energy potential of various projects based on wind and solar resource data and studies. Additionally, she is responsible for creating electrical plans and spatial layouts for projects. She oversees and leads the connection process for the company’s projects.
Fernanda Valdivia
GH2 Sustainability Manager
Marine Biologist with a Diploma in Environmental Law and over 14 years of experience in the aquaculture industry. She has specialized in environmental management, focusing on areas such as circular economy, clean production agreements, and regulatory compliance.
Currently serving as Sustainability Manager in the Green Hydrogen sector, she leads two major green hydrogen and ammonia projects in the Magallanes region: the 3.7 GW Frontera Project in Tierra del Fuego and the 2.8 GW Cabeza del Mar Project in the Gregorio and Punta Arenas municipalities.
Carla Tamayo
Project Engineer
Civil Engineer specializing in Civil Works, with four years of experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on the design of wind farms, solar parks, transmission lines, and related civil infrastructure.
As a Project Engineer at FreePower, she is responsible for developing civil and road designs for wind and solar projects, preparing technical documentation for electrical, water, and maritime concessions, conducting route studies for the transportation of turbines and critical project components, performing quantity takeoffs for roads and civil works, and reviewing environmental impact studies with a focus on civil engineering considerations.
Lucas Llona
Project Engineer
Electrical Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences. Responsible for evaluating the energy production potential of renewable resources for wind, solar, storage, green hydrogen, and ammonia projects and opportunities.
Additionally, he oversees conceptual engineering, project layouts, and project evaluations.
Diego Merino
Project Engineer
Civil Engineer specializing in Civil Works, with four years of experience in civil design for solar and wind farms, substations, and earthwork volume estimation, as well as project-related logistics.
Throughout his professional career, he has gained experience in construction, working in technical offices and structural engineering. His responsibilities have included preparing reports, developing models, and performing structural calculations.
Sandra Merino
Project Engineer
Environmental Engineer with four years of experience in environmental inspection, coordination, and management across various industries.
As a Project Engineer, she is responsible for preparing Environmental Impact Statements (DIA) and Relevance Consultations for photovoltaic projects and energy storage systems, successfully securing Environmental Qualification Resolutions (RCA).
