On the Girl Power radio program, which aims to showcase female leadership in the energy transition and sustainability sectors, Paola Massardo Moretti, Project Manager and Civil Leader at FreePower Group, shared her insights and expertise on the role of a structural engineer in project development.

As part of FreePower Group’s commitment to leading the energy transition in Chile, Paola Massardo not only highlighted the work and expertise of the team responsible for designing and developing large-scale renewable energy projects, including photovoltaic parks, wind farms, green hydrogen initiatives, and storage systems, but also emphasized the company’s drive to promote female leadership in the sector.

Paola Massardo explained, «Conceptual design is the foundational phase of any project. In this stage, we strategically plan what will be done, how it will be done, and where we want to go. This initial approach enables us to identify viable solutions early on, assess risks, evaluate technical and economic feasibility, and ensure that our decisions align with both our clients’ needs and regulatory requirements.»

Since 2020, FreePower has assembled a multidisciplinary team with a clear mission: to provide innovative and sustainable solutions that will help transform the country’s energy matrix.

«We’ve successfully developed internal conceptual engineering capabilities, allowing us to lead complex projects with a comprehensive approach—from photovoltaic parks to green hydrogen,» Paola noted.
